Soursop, Graviola or Durian are native to Southeast Asia: Sri Lanka. Soursop, or Graviola, is a prickly green fruit grown in the world’s tropical regions. It belongs to the sumac family (Anacardiaceae). Soursop is a sweet fibrous fruit that is high in Vitamin C, Potassium, other Minerals and antioxidants.

Soursop or Graviola can be used as a chemo-preventive agent as it is believed to be functional in preventing cancer cells from arising and has cancer-cell-killing properties. Soursop juice has been reported to have a soothing, calming effect, especially in cases of insomnia and nervous disorders.
